Branford's Town Green Goes To The Dogs: PHOTOS
The popular fifth annual "Woofstock" event was held this past weekend.

BRANFORD, CT – The Town Green went to the dogs on Saturday afternoon and nobody minded. Hundreds of dogs of every breed – and their owners – strolled the Branford Green, enjoying the fifth annual “Woofstock.”
First Selectman Jamie Cosgrove was at the event, with his dog and family, along with a big crowd of Branforites and other dog lovers from surrounding towns.

Besides booths that had food treats and water and other goodies for the dogs, there was also food for humans – and music to entertain the crowd.
The event started at noon and was to close at 6 p.m.

The event is one of the biggest fundraisers of the year for the town’s Dan Cosgrove animal shelter.
