Broadway’s Orfeh Live at Legacy Theatre with Musical Director Steven Jamail!

BRANFORD, CT - The roof is coming off the house with the powerful Tony and Grammy-nominated diva herself, Orfeh. From pop hits to Pretty Woman, you'll be singing along and dancing in your seat! Joined by long-time backup singers, Nikki Kimbrough and Tim Kodres, and Music Director Steven Jamail, audiences will not soon forget this powerhouse performance! The next installment in Legacy Theatre’s Sunday Broadway Concert Series, “Broadway’s Orfeh with Steven Jamail at the Piano!” takes the stage on Sunday, June 25 at 2pm.

Orfeh most recently starred as Kit De Luca in Pretty Woman: The Musical on Broadway (Broadway.com Audience Choice Award). Other Broadway credits include Paulette in Legally Blonde: The Musical (Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle Award nominations, Broadway.com Audience Award), Saturday Night Fever, Fascinating Rhythm, and Footloose. Off-Broadway credits include Love, Loss, and What I Wore, The Great American Trailer Park Musical, and Love, Janis. She has performed at Lincoln Center with her husband, Olivier Award-winner and three-time Tony nominee Andy Karl, and at Carnegie Hall with Tituss Burgess. Her extensive recording career includes leading the '90s pop group Or-N-More and she has performed with many music legends from the O'Jays to Chaka Kahn.

Jamail’s original music, orchestrations, and arrangements have been performed on Broadway, at the White House, The Public Theater, Theater Under The Stars, The Alliance Theater, Arena Stage, and the American Songbook Series at Lincoln Center. His television work includes original music and lyrics for Rachel Ray, arrangements and lyrics for Howard Stern’s 60th Birthday Show, The Martha Stewart Show, The Apprentice, The Rosie Show on OWN, the finale of The Oprah Winfrey Show at the United Center, and NBC’s Tree-Lighting at Rockefeller Center, which he also conducted. He has created and conducted tribute concerts on Broadway for Chita Rivera, Cyndi Lauper, Queen Latifah, Ben Stiller, and Sir Ian McKellan. He has served as a pianist and/or arranger for Rosie O’Donnell, Grammy winner Bebe Winans, Olympic and world medalists Jeremy Abbott, Adam Rippon, and Kaitlyn Weaver, Tony-nominated and Olivier award-winning Orfeh and Andy Karl, Broadway veterans Katie Rose Clarke, Teal Wicks, Rachelle Rak, and Jessie Mueller, West End star Danielle Hope, and most recently, Lea Michele for her Life In Music tour this past summer.

In-person and Livestream tickets for “Broadway’s Orfeh with Steven Jamail at the Piano!” can be purchased through the Box Office (203.315.1901) or Legacy’s website, LegacyTheatreCT.org. The Box Office is open Monday-Friday, 10am-3pm. Legacy Theatre’s Sunday Broadway Concert Series will conclude on Sunday, July 2 at 2pm with Broadway’s Hugh Panaro and John McDaniel. The Legacy Theatre is located in the village of Stony Creek in Branford, CT, at 128 Thimble Islands Road.
