A 'Call To Action': Vaccine Clinics Urgently Need Volunteers
Clerical and medical volunteers are desperately needed in the vaccine clinics in Branford, North Branford, East Haven, Guilford and Madison.

BRANFORD, CT — The East Shore Health District is based in Branford, but it's asking for help in all the communities it's serving as COVID-19 vaccine distribution continues. In a "call to action," the health department indicated it is in desperate need of volunteers to staff senior center vaccine clinics in Branford, East Haven, Guilford and Madison.
Volunteers are being sought to help staff the vaccination clinics for seniors 75 and older with appointment registrations on computers, administrative clinical support staffing, and assistance from medically trained residents to provide vaccinations to those who qualify for the COVID-19 vaccine under the state’s phase schedule.
"Many of our senior residents will need assistance with computer access and vaccine appointment registration into the Federal Vaccine Administration and Management System communications, as well as transportation to and from the vaccine clinics," a news release reads.

"This will enable a volunteer to work in their town, or surrounding communities, to volunteer at the seniors’ clinics and other COVID-related response activities," it noted in the release. "This is an excellent opportunity to give back and assist your community, family, friends and neighbors."
Volunteers will be offered the vaccination as they qualify under the state’s Phase 1a priority group.
