DEATHTRAP
Seeking: Sidney Bruhl, Clifford Anderson, Helga ten Dorp, Porter Milgrim
In Ira Levin’s classic comedic thriller, Deathtrap, a washed-up playwright finds a chance to rise to the top once more, a shot he’d be willing to kill for. Sidney Bruhl hasn’t written a hit play for 18 years when he receives a script from a former student, Clifford Anderson, that’s a guaranteed success. His wife, Myra, suggests the two men could collaborate; Sidney jokes that it’d be just as easy to murder the young man and steal the script for his own. Clifford arrives later that evening, and no one--not even the visiting psychic--could predict where the dark events of the night will go.
Sidney Bruhl (50s)
Myra Bruhl, his wife (cast)
Clifford Anderson (20s) aspiring playwright
Helga ten Dorp (50s) Dutch psychic (*accent required; please demonstrate in audition reel)
Porter Milgrim (50s) attorney
AWESOMER & AWESOMER (reh. 6/13-7/6; perf. 7/7-7/17) Seeking 4 female singers (20-60)
Awesomer and Awesomer is a hilarious and heartfelt revue that introduces a variety of women hell-bent on finding humor in tough situations. Created by acclaimed downtown NYC songwriter Phoebe Kreutz and Emmy Award-winning director Alan Muraoka, this unique show takes a look at our troubled modern world and chooses to laugh its head off.
We are seeking a diverse cast of four women with strong voices, offbeat perspectives and most importantly: killer comedy chops. Please sing something that shows off your humor and your "je ne sais quoi". Actors who play instruments- especially guitar- are highly encouraged to audition. No shredding required. If you can accompany yourself AND be funny, we will be so stoked.

Brief vignettes span the months from Valentine’s Day to Beethoven Day, from wild optimism to utter despair.
