Come to Branford Microfund Night at The Stand, June 23

At the open-to-the-public Friday, June 23 event, folks can support, and learn how the Branford Microfund helps residents in need.

Head to The Stand in Branford on Friday, June 23 at 5:30 p.m. and learn how the Branford
Microfund helps residents in need. Enjoy your dinner or drinks at this special location, listen to
some great live music from 7-10pm, donate and win raffle prizes, and help raise money to
support the Microfund’s interest-free loan program.

The Branford Microfund is a local non-profit organization run by Branford volunteers to help its
neighbors during difficult times. It provides interest free loans of up to $3,000 to Branford
residents to help lighten immediate financial burdens. Repayment is expected over a maximum
of 30 months.

As the loan committee works with applicants to review the financial information on their
application, they offer suggestions and tips that empower applicants to stabilize their finances,
and often refer clients to other community partners who can provide additional basic needs
assistance.

The Stand, 196 S. Montowese St., is a Branford icon, where the community comes together
to enjoy expertly prepared food on a picturesque property. They strive to be a place where
memories are created, and they believe the three most important things are: food, community,
and music.
