East Haven Man Charged in Connection With Fatal Motorcycle Accident in Branford

State police say Royce Burns Jr., 25, of Coe Avenue in East Haven, is charged in connection with the June death of a Bridgeport man in Branford, the New Haven Register reports.

Burns is charged with reckless driving, failure to drive at a reasonable distance and misconduct with a motor vehicle.

The crash occurred on June 3 near the Exit 54 on-ramp around 1 a.m. in Branford. At the time, state police said both Burns and Kirk Orlando Valentine, 37, of Bridgeport, were riding motorcylces at the time of the crash, the Register reports.
