ESCA Celebrates Epiphany During Their School-Wide Liturgy Service
ESCA's liturgy service "Christmas in Prayer and Song" celebrates the birth of Jesus and the Epiphany!
Today is Epiphany Sunday! A celebration of the Magi following a star to visit baby Jesus. East Shoreline Catholic Academy celebrated with a beautiful liturgy service, “Christmas in Prayer and Song,” through prayerful meditation and singing over the birth of Jesus and how his birth became known throughout the lands by the visit of the Magi just before the Christmas break.
The school was afforded the honor of debuting the world premiere of a new Christmas song, "He Walks Beside Me," written by four-time Emmy-nominated songwriter Jill Nesti!
Every class participated in this beautiful liturgy service under the direction and guidance of Mrs. Karen Iovanna, Music Director and Sound Director and Mrs. Addorisio, Stage Director. The eighth-grade students had the honor of debuting “He Walks Beside Me” at the beginning of the service, in addition to portraying Mary and Joseph (Nora and Luca), The Angel Gabriel (Adrianna), Census Taker (Elsa), Shepherd (Caleb, Danielle, Delaney, Loren, and Mekella), King Herod (John), Star (Liliana), Magi (Ellery, Kiersten and Richard) and Camel Keeper (Elise).
