Jane Bouley will guide the audience through resources related to Civil Was Soldiers particularly their pension record. The power point program will be Tuesday, September 18th at 7 pm at the Blackstone Memorial Library. A donation of $5.00 is suggested to benefit the Branford Historical Society’s Scholarship Fund. The pension is a treasure trove of information about the soldier, his service, physical appearance, family history, occupation and employment. There will be many Branford examples. Bouley has researched 450 soldier in preparation of a manuscript on Branford and North Branford’s Civil War Soldiers.
