The program takes approximately 9-12 months to complete and provides the graduate with a high school diploma that is accepted by colleges, jobs, and training programs.

Program Overview

The phases of the NEDP are:

  • Advanced academic skills
  • Individualized Assessment, e.g., home management skills

Portfolio Review:
Assessor reviews all of the candidate's work and determines whether he or she has demonstrated all 65 NEDP competencies, according to the program criteria.

  • Problem-solving and computation
  • Personal management: goal setting and self direction
