A course devoted to the expression of light and space through a variety of waterbased media. A prime course objective is experimentation and spontaneity aimed at enlarging the student's visual vocabulary. The student will gain experience and skill in the use of various tools and techniques common to both transparent and opaque watermedia. Taught by an experienced instructor from Paier College of Art. John is an expert watercolorist, a true master. Prepare yourself for amazing classes!

Pad of watercolor paper, 11x14 or 14x17 (carson, stratmore, etc.) (or care Arches Block, green cover, which is more expensive).
White watercolor palette, plastic. Has separated wells for pigments and for mixing.
Plastic straws
atomizer, such as windex bottle, etc.
cheap commercial sponge
pencils, kneaded eraser
paper towels
masking tape
large plastic container to hold water
smaller plastic cup (such as Jello cups)
BRUSHES-
small and medium sized round, pointed brushes
one or two large flat brushes, 1" wide
a white, flat bristle brush (the kind used for oil painting)
one th in script-liner brush
a chinese brush
