Ex-Branford Cop Lands Role as TV Villain
Ray Wiederhold can be seen in the TNT drama "Public Morals."

A retired deputy police chief, once seen on the streets of Branford, can now be seen on a television drama.
An article in the New Haven Register profiled Ray Wiederhold, Branford’s deputy police chief, who retired in 2002.
Wiederhold was cast in the role of Monk—aka “The Silent Assassin”—in the new TNT series “Public Morals.” The program airs on Tuesdays.

He began taking acting classes in 1997, commuting from New Haven to Manhattan, the Register said, while continuing to show up at the police department for work. He now lives in New York City.
His imdb.com page lists 15 different credits, including “The Leftovers,” “Blue Bloods” and “Law & Order: Trial by Jury.”
