Grab The Tissues For Happy Tears: Lincoln's In His Forever Home

When we first met Lincoln, he was frostbitten after being dumped in the street with just a towel for warmth on a frigid winter's night.

BRANFORD, CT — He was left to die that freezing night in January. Discovered by an early-morning jogger, he was riddled with frostbite. Underweight and neglected, the dog was abandoned. But soon, he was wrapped in love and care from the animal shelter staff and the tens of thousands on social media with their virtual love and prayer.

Here's the happy ending that will warm your hearty on this cold day: Lincoln was adopted! Our favorite good boy has gone to his "forever home."

It's got to be hard for the staff at Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter to say good bye to this good boy, but knowing he's going to live with another good dog in the home of a veterinarian technician who will "adore him for the rest of his life," is a blessing.

We are honored to have been able to help Lincoln through his rehabilitation with the help of Madison Veterinary Hospital. We also want to thank John Frisco for his fundraiser to help Lincoln," the staff wrote on Facebook.

The last image in the video is Lincoln's new owner.

He'll have a pal to play with in a fenced-in yard and oh, he's all signed up for training classes, well, because he's a rough-and-tumble boy.

"We love you, Lincoln, and congratulations on your new best life."

I'm not crying, you're crying.
