Lincoln's Life: What A Difference TLC Made For Abandoned Dog

A couple of weeks ago the pit bull was dumped and left to die in the cold. Now, with love and caring, Lincoln has a new life and a best bud.

BRANFORD, CT —When first we met Lincoln, he'd been found by a jogger on a recent Sunday winter's morning in Branford. The white pit bull was dumped and left to the elements on a frigid winter night.

Immediately cared for by the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter, and with thousands of people on social media rooting for the dog, donations to help support his care, and a bounty for those who abandoned the pup, Lincoln's life has taken a 180. And we're all here for it.

Shelter director Laura Burban has shared Lincoln's progress since the day he was rescued from near the Community House rife with frostbite, malnourished and neglected.

But within days, under the care of a veterinarian, and with the care and attention of shelter staff, he began to rebound.

In the days after he was saved, rewards were offered for the arrest and conviction of whoever dumped the dog. Meanwhile, Lincoln was getting better and was a far happier dog than the creature found frozen, with his new, albeit likely temporary, family at the shelter. He's acclimated well. Very well.

So what does it look like when you are trying to work but Lincoln is in your office ??? Something like this !...
