Here Is Branford's New Assistant Superintendent of Schools

School officials announced the hiring this morning.

BRANFORD, CT — The Branford Public Schools on Thursday announced that Rachel Sexton is the district's next Assistant Superintendent of Schools. She begins her new post on July 1.

In a district news release it states, "Ms. Sexton is an exemplary educational leader with vast experiences in public education. She has worked extensively in urban and suburban school districts to develop viable curricula for students."

She will oversee the PreK-12 academic program and serve as a key member of the executive leadership team. Sexton has been employed with Area Cooperative Services Center where she has served as the Chief of ACES Institute, responsible to ensure the delivery of customized fee-for-service solutions to 25 CT school districts.

She has previously taught high school in New Haven, Madison and Stamford.

"We are fortunate to have Rachel join our wonderful district, her credentials are impressive, her reputation wonderful, her performance proven and her character impeccable," said Superintendent of Schools Hamlet M. Hernandez.
