Hope is Doing 'Absolutely Amazing'

(Editor's Note: For those of you who haven't been following the story of Hope, you've missed a lot. More than two months ago someone driving by saw a dog struggling to walk in Branford. She took the dog to the Dan Csogrove Animal Shelter and staff called it "one of the worst cases of animal cruelty" they had ever seen. Staff said the dog was starved and a day or two away from death. Over the past two months, shelter staff and local vets cared for the dog and named her 'Hope.' A reward of $5,000 has been issued by PETA. The shelter has been providing updates concerning Hope's recovery.)

Hi Everyone,

Here is the Hope update for today! Hope is doing absolutely amazing! Look at that smile on her face! She is so very happy! Her laryngitis is cleared up and she is just a bundle of play!

Hope now weighs 64 pounds!!! We are so very happy with her progress! She is still being pampered and loved by her head nurse and she is loving it! We will update more on Hope's progress next Monday!!
