Inquiry Launched in Branford into Ingraham State Rep Campaign

Republican Ray Ingraham pulled out of the election last month.

BRANFORD, CT — Officials with the State Election Enforcement Commission will conduct an inquiry into the state representative campaign of Branford Republican Ray Ingraham, reports the New Haven Independent.

Ingraham, who pulled out of the race last month, allegedly raised concerns among election commissioners over the authenticity of his application for campaign funding. He cited a recent job loss and sick relative for his reasons for withdrawing from the race.

According to the Independent, Ingraham sought public financing for the campaign, but later allegedly admitted to mistakes when he signed donor forms.
