UPDATE: Orchard House Stony Creek Duck Race Date Changed
Celebrating its 40th year, the Orchard House Medical Adult Day Center's annual Duck Race has been postponed to Sept. 19 due to weather.
BRANFORD, CT —For four decades, the nonprofit Orchard House Medical Adult Day Center in Branford has been providing a safe, welcoming place for aging adults.
With the goal to keep seniors living at home for as long as possible, the Orchard House specializes in offering a place where aging adults can feel "safe, loved, and appreciated."
As the day center celebrates its 40th year of programs including health and medication monitoring, personal care, delicious meals, socialization, fun recreational activities, and exercise to promote and extend personal independence and happiness, the non-profit still must hold fundraisers. But, as they describe, "due to COVID-19, non-profit fundraising has taken on a new meaning." Meaning donations are needed now more than ever.
