BRANFORD, CT — The Shoreline Chamber of Commerce announced its Community Partner/ Hometown Hero for Branford is Ken Engelman.

"While I appreciate the recognition, this award is shared with the many volunteers who show up every day simply because they care," Engelman is quoted as saying.

The Chamber noted that Engelman, "Reminded us that Branford is full of 'serial volunteers.' People who don’t ask. 'What’s in it for me?' but instead ask 'Who needs help?' and quietly hold our community together. He’s proud to stand among them and share this honor with them."
