Legacy Theatre's 2022 Season Revealed

As you know, we re-opened this historic theatre April 23, 2021 to the public, and in these past 6 1/2 months, we have produced 171 individual performances, including full runs of classics, comedies, world premiers, new works, Broadway Spotlight Concerts, Expanded Voices, Family Series, film, outreach and classes, sold over 6,300 tickets to 30 separate shows and events, entertained audiences from: NY, CT, MA, TX, FL, MN, DC, MD, RI, NJ, AZ, NC, CA, PA, OR, ME, WI, OH, WV, GA, AL, DE, and SD, produced and presented shows and events with the help of over 60 volunteers and a staff of over 120 full and part time contractors.

This inaugural year, we have offered professional runs of MainStage shows, including a classic, comedy, world premiere musical and contemporary drama. We have offered a Family Series with children’s shows and adapted a book about JOAN JOYCE. We had over a dozen Broadway performers visit our new facility and perform intimate, solo cabaret shows featuring musical theatre favorites they have performed on Broadway. We have even had several of those performers work with the youth in our classes and Summer Intensives. We have offered a forum for new plays about important and local issues and have welcomed the Great 8 from “prison to performance” to tell us how they have reformed and inspired us to be better.

Our 2021 season is ongoing, and we are currently in the midst of classes for all ages and abilities on Saturdays with a host of Artist/Teachers with impressive backgrounds from London, Broadway, and beyond~ and to round out the 2021 Season, we are currently in pre-production of a new adaptation of the cherished holiday tale A Christmas Carol with a strong and versatile cast, featuring Jim Andreassi as Scrooge!

We have a very exciting 2022 Season planned for you…Not only do we have many special events this upcoming 2022 season, we have created a series of SERIES for you, to organize the season according to different categories of Productions, Outreach, and Classes we will be offering you…We have also structured a few Subscriptions Series in addition to our Memberships this year!

I simply cannot thank you enough for your extraordinary faith in this project, for doing your part to help make it successful and for your patronage of live theatre, especially at this time! I look very forward to seeing you at the Legacy Theatre next month and all throughout 2022!
