Christmas is a time for magic and make believe, for fantasy and surprises, for lore and legend. “Santa Claus” has been part of the winter holidays since the beginning of time. Although his personae has changed with time & culture, the lure of the gift giver has always held a special spot in everyone’s heart. After researching the history of these gift givers, creating a paper cut to illustrate them, and realizing that these stories are being lost through generations of changes in traditions, I wanted to collect and share them to keep them ALL alive. Whether you are French, Norwegian, English or German, your gift giver has his own charm and uniqueness. The program will be to share some of these stories and show the images that represent them.
