Dear Families and members of the Branford Public Schools community:

Recently the Board Chair and one other member of the Board of Education (BOE) resigned from their positions on the Board. As Vice Chair of the BOE, I want to reassure you on behalf of the Board that this development will not impede our ability to carry out our duties. We have policies and procedures in place to continue addressing the many important and pressing issues including, in the weeks ahead, the process of interviewing candidates for those two vacancies and electing a new Chair. In my capacity as Vice Chair, I will preside over these processes and work with my fellow BOE members to ensure the Board’s transition is a smooth and professional one.
