Nancy Addorisio Receives the Christ of Light Teacher Award

The Christ of Light Award recognizes exceptional educators who positively influence students' lives through their commitment to teaching.

East Shoreline Catholic Academy is pleased to announce that Nancy Addorisio, a distinguished faculty member, has received the prestigious 2024 Light of Christ Teacher Recognition Award. This accolade reflects her remarkable contributions and unwavering dedication to Catholic education.

As a history and geography teacher and award-winning mock trial team coach at East Shoreline Catholic Academy, Addorisio's impact goes far beyond the classroom walls. Her innovative teaching methods, coaching and mentoring, coupled with her faith and compassion, greatly enhance the learning environment and play a pivotal role in shaping the character and future of our youth. Each year, alumni return to collaborate with her mock trial students, inspired by the impact of their middle school experiences under her guidance.

The Light of Christ Teacher Recognition Award is made possible by The Hartford Bishops’ Foundation, which honors exceptional educators who positively impact students’ lives through their dedication to teaching excellence. The award was formally presented during the Catholic School Educators Mass and Celebration held on April 1, 2025, at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph in Hartford.
