New Branford Schools Bus Contract Includes A Cool New Feature

The school board voted recently to approve a five-year bus contract.

BRANFORD, CT — First Student Inc., which has handled school bus runs for the past five years, had its contract extended for another five years by the Board of Education. The total value of the contract could be worth $3 million, the New Haven Register reports.

According to the new contract, the district will pay 2.5 percent increases for the first two years followed by 3 percent hikes over the last three years, the Register reports.

One cool new feature is that the company is creating an app so parents can track where their child's bus is located.
