Obituary: Edith “Dee” L. Neal “Grandma Dee” Huzar, 73, of Branford
A former owner of Curry Printing in Branford, she enjoyed travel and was a Deacon, and choir member of First Baptist Church of Branford.

Edith “Dee” L. Neal “Grandma Dee” Huzar of Branford, CT passed away peacefully on December 9th at her home. Edith was born on May 2nd, 1949 daughter of the late Clarence Neal and Eleanor Clock Neal Story.
She is survived by her amazing and loving daughters Andrea (Paul) O’Neil of Duxbury, MA and Jennifer Frost of Branford, CT. She was so proud to be Grandma Dee to her 4 grandchildren Paul, Ava, Olivia and Andrew. Affectionately was G’ma Dee to many others including Elissa and Reagan Strand.

Sister of Howard (Mary) Neal, Linda (George) Silk and the late David Neal and Teddy Neal. She also leaves behind her niece Debbie, niece Chris, Cousin Doreen, Best Friend Betsy, the poker girls, and forever coffee companion Joanne.
Edith was once the owner of Curry Printing in downtown Branford then later in her career would join a startup pharmaceutical company Alexion from where she retired in 2013.

Once Edith retired, she enjoyed her winters in Florida, especially time in The Villages. Edith’s love of travel brought her to many places around the world.
Dee was an active member and Deacon of First Baptist Church of Branford. She gave a lot of her time and energy to many committees and charities. She loved being a member of the choir. Dee made lifelong friends during her time at First Baptist Church.
Many know Edith for being an avid walker and always on the go. This helped her fight her courageous battle with her rare disease MSA (multiple system atrophy)
Edith has left a legacy for all lives that she has touched.
Her daughters would like to thank CT Hospice for all the care they gave their mother. Especially Janet, Lauren, Theresa, Michelle, Gretchen and Marissa.
Visiting hours will be Thursday December 15th from 10:00 – 11:30 AM at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, with a funeral service at 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Branford, 975 Main Street, Branford. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford.
