Obituary: James E. Morris, 75, of Branford

James E. Morris of Branford died on Tuesday December 20, 2022 at the V. A. Medical Center in West Haven. He was the husband of Barbara Brada Morris.

James was born March 6, 1947 in New Haven, son of the late Eliott “Hank” and Irene Massey Morris. He served as a Sergeant in U. S. Army, during the Vietnam War. James was the co-owner of Aronson's Service Center, A&M Convenience and Professional Auto Wash. James assisted BESB operating Pops Concession Stand and Camp Store at Hammonasset and Roche owned ky Neck State Parks. He was a member of American Legion Post 83 in Branford.

Besides Barbara, James is survived by his children, William E. Morris (Beth Mana) of Clinton, Kimberly (David) Otto of East Haven and Bryan S. (Elissa) Morris of Clinton; his grandchildren, Dylan, Savannah, Christopher, Daniel, Gabrielle, Madison, Vanessa, and Caroline; his sister, Judith (Rick) Green of Clinton and was predeceased by his niece Deborah Forbes.

Visiting hours will be January 3, 2023 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford. A graveside service, with military honors, will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 11:00 AM in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford.
