Obituary: Joan L. Perrotti, 89, of Branford

Joan L. Perrotti of Branford died Friday December 16, 2022 at Whispering Pines in East Haven. She was the wife of the late Augustine Perrotti.

Joan was born May 9, 1933 in Unadilla Forks, NY, daughter of the late Warren and Elizabeth Morse Austin. She was a secretary for the Branford Schools for many years until retiring. She had also been a swimming instructor for the Branford Recreation Department. Joan was inducted into the Branford Sports Hall of Fame in 2000.

She is survived by her sons, Stephen (Megan) Perrotti of Branford, Philip Perrotti of Southington and Paul (Lisette) Perrotti of North Branford, 8 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, her sister Jean Austin and her brother Donald Austin, both of Branford. She was predeceased by her brother William Austin and her sisters, Darlyne Gentile and Virginia Austin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday January 7, 2023 at St. John Bosco Parish in St. Mary Church, Branford at 10:00. Burial will follow in Branford Center Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
