Obituary: Linda M. Kunecki, 61, of Branford

Linda M. Kunecki, 61, of Branford, beloved partner of Mike Buckanavage, passed away on May 10, 2023. Linda was born on April 17, 1962 in Derby, CT. She is the daughter of James Melbourne and Elizabeth Dillon.

Linda graduated from Amity High School in 1980. She married and had 2 children; Lance and Sarah. She was a stay at home mom for many years and returned to the work force when they were grown. She became a CNA and worked at several assisted living facilities. She loved working with the elderly and caring for people. She would do anything for anyone. Most recently, she worked at The Village at Mariners Point as a server in the dining room. She loved her co-workers and was nominated to be an employee ambassador at the facility. She will be missed by her family and so many other lives that she touched. Heaven has gained another angel.

In addition to her parents, Linda is survived by her children, Lance Kunecki, and Sarah Kunecki and partner, Paul Pinto; sister, Deborah (Philip) Maloney; aunt, Eleanor (Chris) Nelson, uncle, John (Rita) Wilcox, nephew, Jack (Chelsea) Olexovitch; and several cousins.

Friends and family may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2023 at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 BROAD ST., MILFORD, CT A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
