Obituary: Marilyn L. Marrone, 64, formerly of Branford

A longtime secretary for SNET, she was an animal lover involved with animal rescues, and an avid gardener.

Marilyn L. Marrone of Clinton, formerly of Branford, died Tuesday January 3, 2023 at Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Marilyn was born in New Haven January 25, 1953, a daughter of the late Louis P. and Laura Rozar Marrone. She worked as a secretary for SNET Co. before retiring. Marilyn was an animal lover and was involved with animal rescues for many years. Marilyn was an avid gardener and enjoyed having many colorful flowers.

She is survived by her brother Louis P. (Kathryn) Marrone of Bridgeport, her nieces, Nina Marrone, Abbey Danis, and Natalie Richardson, and her nephew Louis Eiber. Also survived by her longtime friend Donna Barker of Madison. She was predeceased by her brother Blaine and her sister Cynthia, and her longtime companion Robert Hinckley.

Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours Monday evening from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, and may attend a graveside service Tuesday morning at 11:00 in St. Agnes Cemetery, Branford.
