Obituary: Vincent 'Jimmy' Gaetano, 81, of Branford formerly East Haven
He owned/co-owned businesses from East Haven to Madison, and enjoyed car racing, motorcycle riding, boating, fishing, crabbing and clamming.

Vincent "Jimmy" Gaetano 81, of Branford, formerly of East Haven and West Haven, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2023 after a year long battle with glioblastoma. He was born on August 6, 1941 in New Haven to the late Harry and Philomena "Fanny" Benevento Gaetano.
In his younger years he worked at the family business, F&G drywall. He later got into the restaurant business owning Gaetano‘s Café in Momauguin, Park Entrance, Jameson‘s Pub in East Haven, he also co-owned R&J Trucking with his closest and dearest friend Cosmo Gargano, and he and Linda co-owned and LL Lowrie’s in Madison.
He owned/co-owned businesses from East Haven to Madison, and enjoyed horse and motorcycle riding, boating, fishing, crabbing, & clamming.

Jimmy had a great life and he lived it to the fullest. He had an enormous sense of humor that he will certainly be remembered for. He has wonderful children and grandchildren. He had his restaurants and his toys. Over the years he’s enjoyed riding snowmobile’s, horses and motorcycles. He enjoyed going to the car races to see his #10 race car and enjoyed taking his antique cars to the car shows. He loved taking the boat out into the Long Island sound where he enjoyed lots of fishing, crabbing, clamming, and many trips to Port Jefferson with his children and grandchildren. Along with all of these things came lots of friends & family. He was always the life of the party, and he will be missed by his family, many good friends and everyone who knew him throughout his life.
Jimmy is survived by his son Vincent Gaetano, daughters Jadeane (Ron) Grant and Sherri-Lynn Palmese, his grandchildren Johnna Palmese, and Patrick and Nicholas Grant, his brother Michael (Carol) Gaetano, and his sister Linda (Robert) Granata,
Besides his parents, Jimmy was predeceased by his sister Debbie Gaetano and his long time companion Linda Palmese.
Jimmy's family and friends are invited to calling hours at East Haven Memorial Funeral Home- 425 Main St, East Haven on FRIDAY January 20, 2023 from 930am-1130am. Burial will follow immediately at St. Agnes Cemetery in Branford.
