Saint Mary School's 2nd Graders Pay A Visit To Cedar Woods' Residents

Pictured is 2nd Grade Teacher: Mrs. Heather Heidtman, 2nd Grade Students, and Residents of Cedar Woods.

Saint Mary School is fostering the value of service early in the education of their children. It is through service to others that can build a particular character trait of which great leaders have been born.

This past week Mrs. Heidtman’s 2nd grade class enjoyed reading to some of Cedar Woods’ residents. The residents were thrilled to have the children spend some time with them and loved hearing the stories read to them. It brought tears of joy to the eyes of one of the residents, as she was overwhelmed at how one of the children reminded her of her daughter of years past, and how well mannered and articulate the readers were.

I am not sure if the residents or the 2nd graders received the most joy out of the visit to Cedar Woods today -- I think it was a tie!
