When schools do open, it will be in the hybrid model with Monday/Tuesday being in-person days for the Blue Group and Thursday/Friday being in-person days for the Orange Group. Kindergarten students will attend school in person on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Wednesday is an online learning day for all students.

"We acknowledge that the color group your child is assigned is a key piece of information, and to that end, we will inform you as soon as possible of that assignment," schools superintendent Hamlet Hernandez wrote in a message to families.

"We are excited about students returning to school and value your patience. The safety of students and staff has been and will continue to be our top priority. Between now and September 9, 2020, we encourage you to talk with your child about the importance of wearing a mask, social distancing and hand hygiene," he said. "Reopening school in the middle of pandemic is monumental undertaking which can only be accomplished safely when we all work together."
