1 Injured In Shooting In Bridgeport: Police
The shooting occurred Monday night on Maplewood Avenue, according to authorities.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 24-year-old Bridgeport man suffered a leg injury Monday night when he was shot in the 700 block of Maplewood Avenue in Bridgeport, according to police.
The victim was hospitalized and is listed in stable condition, police said, following the 11:15 p.m. shooting.
Police were notified of the shooting by an activation of the ShotSpotter gunshot detection system.

"Upon arrival, officers were unable to locate a victim, however evidence was found at the scene and collected," wrote Bridgeport Police Capt. Kevin Gilleran in a statement. "At approximately 11:40pm, a 24-year-old Bridgeport man presented at an area hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg."
