1 Injured In Shooting In Bridgeport: Police

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A person suffered multiple gunshot wounds Thursday afternoon in a shooting in the 300 block of Trumbull Avenue in Bridgeport, according to police.

"Party was shot 3 times and is alert, conscious, and breathing," Shawnna White, Bridgeport's Public Information Officer, wrote in a statement. "Transport to the hospital in progress."

The initial call to police came in at 3:52 p.m. as an assault with a weapon.

"No arrests have been made, and updates will be provided once available," White said. "The Department is investigating this incident."
