19-Year-Old Shot And Killed In Bridgeport: Update
The shooting occurred Tuesday evening near Palisade Avenue and Birdsey Street.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 19-year-old Bridgeport man was shot and killed Tuesday evening near Palisade Avenue and Birdsey Street in Bridgeport, reports the Connecticut Post.
Initially the victim was treated by emergency medical personnel at the scene just after the 5:40 p.m. incident, but he died a short while later. He was discovered on nearby Price Street.
The Post writes that an officer radioed headquarters that they had heard eight gun shots in the area at the time.

The victim's identity has not been released, but he is the city's second homicide victim in 2018; 21-year-old Jawuan Green was shot on Newfield Avenue on Jan. 16 and later died, according to the publication.
