10 Displaced After Residential Fire In Bridgeport: Officials

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A residential fire in the 100 block of Bunnell St. in Bridgeport on Sunday afternoon resulted in the temporary displacement of seven adults and three children , according to fire officials.

No injuries were reported in the blaze, which was called in at about 2:50 p.m.

"A fire was located in the walls and was declared under control in 15 minutes," wrote Shawnna White, the city's Public Information Officer, in a statement. "Both primary and secondary searches were clear."

The Bridgeport Fire Marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire.

American Red Cross volunteers Ken Sneider, Jonathan Seaman, Laura Hubner and Violet Carlson are assisting the temporarily displaced residents.
