Bridgeport Police ID 18-Year-Old Stabbed And Killed On Sunday: Update

The stabbing occurred on Park Avenue in Bridgeport, according to authorities.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — The 18-year-old Bridgeport teen who was stabbed to death Sunday evening in Bridgeport has been identified by police.

Trevon Pierce was stabbed in the 11oo block of Park Avenue, and Bridgeport police are asking for the public's help in finding the killer.

"Our sincerest condolences go out to Trevon’s family and friends," said Capt. Kevin Gilleran in a statement.

According to Gilleran, officers were called to the scene at about 7:45 p.m.

"Upon police arrival, an 18-year-old Bridgeport teen (male) was found suffering from multiple sharp force injuries to the torso (stab wounds)," Gilleran wrote. "He was transported to an area hospital where he later died."

The department's Detective Bureau Homicide Squad is investigating the incident. Members of the department's Forensic Identification Unit processed and cleared the scene by about 11 p.m. on Sunday.

"Detectives believe this is an isolated incident where the victim likely knew his attacker(s)," Gilleran said.
