2 Adults, 2 Children Displaced By Bridgeport Apartment Fire: FD

The weekend fire was on Rosedale Street, according to fire officials.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Two adults and two children were temporarily displaced Saturday when a fire damaged the third-floor apartment where they lived, according to Bridgeport fire officials.

No injuries were reported in the 2:15 p.m. fire on Rosedale Street, which was visible to firefighters upon arrival at the building.

"The fire was contained to the fire [apartment]," wrote Scott Appleby, director of the city's Office of Emergency Management. "Units were able to quickly extinguish the fire."

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and the Red Cross is helping to arrange temporary shelter for the four people.
