2016 Kolbe Cathedral Making A Difference Award to Honor Mr. Bill Mitchell and Dr. Gerald E. Kuroghlian
Fundraiser to support scholarship funds for deserving, less fortunate inner city high school students.

Kolbe Cathedral High School’s "2016 Making a Difference Celebration" will be held in Greenwich on Sunday, May 1st and will feature a Liturgical Celebration at the 5:15 P.M. Mass at St. Mary's Parish in honor of 2016 Honorees – Mr. Bill Mitchell and Dr. Gerald E. Kuroghlian - followed by dinner at Gabriele’s Italian Steakhouse at 6:30 P.M.
Proceeds from the event will fund scholarships for deserving and disadvantaged students.
Kolbe President Jo-Anne Jakab cites that “each year Kolbe Cathedral recognizes individuals or foundations who make significant contributions that help to ‘Make a-A Difference’ in the lives of young people by affording them a Kolbe Cathedral education, enrichment programs, internships, access to further education and mentorship by strong and caring role models. The two 2016 honorees – Mr. Bill Mitchell and Dr. Gerald E. Kuroghlian fulfill all those roles and have done so with dedication and passion for many years."

Located in Bridgeport, Kolbe Cathedral has strived to “make a difference” in the lives of a diverse student population for fifty two years. 80% of their students are in need of financial assistance and President Jo-Anne Jakab shares that “for the fifth consecutive year, 100% of Kolbe’s 73 Class of 2015 graduates earned college acceptances with $15.2 million in scholarships and aid.”
