3 Arrested After Fight At College Graduation In Bridgeport: Police
The incident occurred during the Gateway Community College graduation ceremony.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — Three people were arrested in Bridgeport Thursday during a large fight at the graduation ceremony of Gateway Community College, according to authorities.
The incident occurred at about 6:15 p.m. at Bridgeport's Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater.
"Upon arrival, two unrelated families were in a physical altercation, officers did have to separate individuals and deescalate," Shawnna White, Bridgeport's Public Information Officer, told Patch.

The Connecticut Post reported that the fight broke out in the stands at the amphitheater, and caused officials to briefly pause the ceremony. Click here to view a video of the melee on the Facebook page of a New Haven artist whose page is called Braggin' Rights.

Tyvonna Bradley, 28, of New Haven
- Assault of a public safety officer
- Breach of peace, 2nd degree
New York resident Erika Price, 35
- Assault of a public safety officer
- Breach of peace, 2nd degree
New York resident Takira Simmons, 34
- Breach of peace, 2nd degree
Bradley was released after posting bond on bail of $35,000, and is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on May 29.
Price was released after posting bond on bail of $25,000, and is also scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on May 29.
Simmons was released on a promise to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on June 1.
