3 Bridgeport Police Lieutenants Promoted To Rank Of Captain
The three were sworn in by Mayor Joseph Ganim during a ceremony Wednesday.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — Three Bridgeport Police Lieutenants were promoted to the rank of Captain during a ceremony in the Government Center Wednesday. The appointments take effective immediately.
The three former Lieutenants who are now Captains are Paul Grech, Manuel Cotto, and John Cummings.
"I’ve admired the work of our new Captains and will continue to support them as they accelerate in their careers," said Mayor Joseph Ganim, who swore in the new Captains. "I would like to thank them for their commitment towards keeping our City safe and continuing their service in the Bridgeport Police Department."

Added Police Chief Roderick Porter, "I’m proud of each of our new Captains as they’ve been exemplary officers throughout their careers. They’ve done an excellent job so far, and I know they will continue to do exceptional work for the police force."
