3 Pedestrians Struck In Separate Crashes In Bridgeport: Police
All the crashes occurred on Sunday, and one of the pedestrians suffered a leg injury, according to Bridgeport police.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — Three pedestrians were stuck by vehicles in separate incidents Sunday in Bridgeport, according to police.
Following one of the crashes, a pedestrian was hospitalized with a leg injury, but in the other two incidents, no injuries were reported.
In the first crash at about 10:30 a.m., a pedestrian and multiple vehicles were struck in the 300 block of Orchard Street, and Bridgeport police were able to detain the driver. This was the crash where the pedestrian suffered a leg injury.

The crash is under investigation.
The second crash occurred just before 6 p.m., in which a pedestrian was struck at the intersection of Housatonic and East Washington avenues. Additional details on the crash were not immediately available.

In the third crash just after 8 p.m., a pedestrian was struck at the intersection of Main Street and North Avenue.
"The party that was struck got up and walked away," authorities said in a statement. Bridgeport police officers canvassed the area with no results.
"Bridgeport Police Department urges drivers and pedestrians to stay alert and be aware of their surroundings," authorities said.
