4 Injured When Vehicle Crashes Into Houses In Bridgeport

The crash occurred Saturday night on Chopsey Hill Road, according to authorities.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Four people suffered significant injuries Saturday night when the vehicle they were riding in crashed into two houses and a parked car on Chopsey Hill Road in Bridgeport, according to authorities.

The crash occurred at about 10:20 p.m. in the 900 block of Chopsey Hill Road.

"On-scene Command reports indicate a vehicle left the roadway and struck one dwelling before striking another dwelling and landing upside down on a parked vehicle," said Scott Appleby, Bridgeport's Director of Emergency Management, in a statement. "Three of four occupants of the vehicle self-extracted, the fourth was removed from under the vehicles by the [Bridgeport Fire Department]."

No one in the buildings were injured, but "both homes received extensive property damage."

Bridgeport police are actively investigating the crash.
