4 Shot Outside Bridgeport Courthouse [UPDATE]
Four people were shot outside of the Golden Hill Street courthouse Monday.

BRIDGEPORT, CT— Three people were shot in an incident outside of the courthouse on Golden Hill Street Monday afternoon, according to a statement from the city. City police, state police and AMR are at the scene, which is active.
All victims have been transported to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police report there is no immediate threat at this time.

Police said the individuals were the intended targets and this was not the work of an active shooter.
"The individuals in this incidents were intended targets," according to a statement.

An attorney at the courthouse during the incident told The Hartford Courant that it was a drive-by shooting.
The witness saw a car with several people in it sitting near the courthouse. A second car passed by and fired shots into the car, then fled the scene.
Police said that three people have been taken into custody as persons of interest in the case but have not been charged.
In an effort to promote de-escalation and prevent retaliation, the Connecticut State Police has deployed immediate assistance to the residents of Bridgeport and its police department. "We are there to work with the community as well as the police department to stem the recent violence," State Police said.
