5 People Displaced After Bridgeport Fire
The blaze was reported Sunday afternoon on Lewis Street, according to fire officials.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — Three children and two adults were displaced by a fire at a home at 190 Lewis St. in Bridgeport on Sunday, according to fire officials. No injuries were reported.
The fire was reported at about 5:45 p.m., and was mostly in the attic of a two-and-a-half story duplex, and was quickly extinguished and declared under control in 30 minutes.
The American Red Cross is assisting the displaced by providing a recovery envelope containing helpful post-fire information, and comfort kits containing toiletries.

The fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshal’s Office, and the department stresses the importance of having working smoke alarms in all homes.
