$50,000 Winning Scratch-Off Lottery Ticket Sold In Bridgeport
A local resident is also the lucky winner, according to the Connecticut Lottery.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — An unnamed Bridgeport resident is $50,000 richer this week after claiming a winning lottery ticket purchased locally, the Connecticut Lottery announced.
On Tuesday, the person claimed a winning $500,000 CASHWORD 2nd EDITION ticket that was bought at Gasboy on State Street in Bridgeport.
The Connecticut Lottery no longer publishes winners’ names without their written consent, in accordance with Sec. 3(d) of Public Act 25-112, according to officials.

The game, which costs $30 per ticket, began in May 2025, and as of Wednesday, one grand prizes of $500,000 remained unclaimed.
More than 1.5 million game tickets have been printed, and the overall odds of winning are 1 in 2.78.
