900+ Without Power In Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT, CT — More than 900 United Illuminating customers in Bridgeport are without power after this morning's thunderstorms.

There were 920 customers without lights as of 9:40 a.m.

Thunderstorms this morning dropped up to an inch of rain an hour and some parts of the state may see rates as high as two inches per hour later today, according to the National Weather Service.
