4. Schools in Bridgeport, Hamden, Hartford may get more state funding as Democrats hold budget talks (ctpost.com) — Bridgeport schools may receive additional state funding as Democratic leaders and Gov. Guatemalan man arrested in Bridgeport gets 6 months for illegally reentering the US (ctpost.com) — A man from Guatemala who was arrested in Bridgeport by federal immigration authorities has been sentenced to six months in prison for illegally reentering the United States. Officials say he was taken into custody in January after prior deportations and several Connecticut arrests, with the case handled in Hartford federal court.
