Stamford football doubles last season's win total with dominant win over Bridgeport Central (ctpost.com) — Bridgeport Central's football team fell 39-6 on the road at Stamford, dropping the Hilltoppers to 1-2 after giving up six touchdowns and scoring only in the final seconds. Stamford's defense controlled the game, while Central now prepares to face city rival Bassick on Friday at 4 p.m. The matchup offers Bridgeport fans a quick chance to see how the team responds.
