3. Thomas McCarthy returns to Bridgeport City Hall a decade after clashing with Ganim (ctpost.com) โ Bridgeport residents will see a familiar face back at City Hall as former council president Thomas McCarthy returns Tuesday as provisional personnel director, filling a key vacancy. 4. Bridgeport is the 'Park City,' so why do its parks lag behind other CT cities? (ctpost.com) โ Bridgeport residents enjoy short walks to nearby parks, but a new report shows those parks are smaller and far less funded than in other big cities, especially in low-income neighborhoods. City officials and local nonprofits are using the findings to shape a new parks master plan, explore a 20-mile waterfront pathway, and push for more investment and amenities across Bridgeport.

5. Which CT towns are the most walkable? (ctmirror.org) โ Bridgeport ranks among Connecticut's three most walkable cities, scoring above 70 on a national walkability scale and earning a "very walkable" label. While that still varies by neighborhood, the data suggests many errands in Bridgeport can be done without a car, putting the city ahead of most U.S. communities and reinforcing Connecticut's overall reputation as relatively walkable.
