Apparent Grenade Found In Bridgeport: Police
The object was discovered Wednesday afternoon.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — An object that Bridgeport police said appears to be a grenade was found Wednesday in the 200 block of Testiny Avenue, according to authorities.
The object was found at about 4 p.m., and in addition to Bridgeport police, firefighters and members of Connecticut State Police were also called in to investigate.
Whether the grenade was live or inert was not disclosed, but authorities said that there was no threat to the public.

Connecticut State Police removed the object, but no further information was available as of Thursday morning.
